"Sit," "stay/wait," and "down" should also be reinforced prior to the wedding day. This will ensure a picture-perfect focused pooch for photos. Hang it up with your favorite photo from the day to create a beautiful memory. Ask your florist if they can make a fresh floral arrangement for your pup! Large floral bands look great as collars, or you can even add a corsage to your dogs tuxedo, collar or harness. Be sure to coordinate your colors!
THINK BEFORE YOU BOOK!
Having your dog in your wedding may be a dream come true for you, but it may be a nightmare to your pooch! If your dog is fearful of new people or loud environments, it may be best for them to sit out for the festivities, and just pop in for the pictures, if even that! If you are unsure about your dog's ability to cope with the stimulation that a wedding provides, please schedule a meet and greet session before booking.
CHECK WITH YOUR VENUE
Some venues do not allow dogs indoors, or in certain areas of the property. Dog-restrictive venues frequently allow exceptions when informed that a professional dog handler will be utilized throughout the ceremony and reception.
